Three ARCs I'd Sacrifice My Children For

I saw a post Kat Kennedy made on her blog Cuddle Buggery a couple days ago,

"We all have ARCs that we want and drool over. But then there are THE ARCs. The ones you know you’re probably not going to get. The ones you desperately want with every fiber in your body. Then you start to wonder… what would I give up to get one of those? What would I sacrifice? What price would I pay?"

And so I thought, I have to made a follow-up post to this. It'd be fun. So here it is. :)
I'd Give Up My 1st Born For:
Days of Blood and Starlight
(Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #2)
by Laini Taylor

Expected Publication: November 6th 2012
Publisher: Little, Brown & Company
Format: Hardcover, 304 pages
Pre-Order: Barnes and Noble | Amazon

In this stunning sequel to the highly acclaimed "Daughter of Smoke and Bone," Karou must come to terms with who and what she is, and how far she'll go to avenge her people. Filled with heartbreak and beauty, mysteries and secrets, new characters and old favorites, Days of Blood and Starlight brings the richness, color and intensity of the first book to a brand new canvas.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone was declared a "must read" by Entertainment Weekly, was named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.com, and The New York Times called it "a breath-catching romantic fantasy."

Why I'd Do Such A Horrible Thing: (I know, I stole this one from Kat. But I can't help it!) I think the world Laini created had to be the most vivid that I've ever put my imagination in. It's so unique and wonderful, I'd just have to have this ARC. I would definitely travel to a book signing or something of the sort if Laini was there giving out free ARCs of this. I'd definitely do it. My first thought when I set my eyes on the cover of this was, I've got to have this right at this moment. God, just make it appear in my hands, please.

I'd Sacrifice My 2nd Born For This:

Expected Publication: In 2012
Publisher: N/A
Format: eBook
Pre-Order: N/A

It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels’ stronghold in San Francisco where she’ll risk everything to rescue her sister and he’ll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

Why I'd Do Such A Horrible Thing: (For the record, I'm using the the cover for the first book in the series for the second book, because there isn't one yet for the second. And also, I'm using the description from the first for the second, too.) Because the first book was just plain amazing and fantastic. If there was truly a word to describe how much I wanted the second book, and how good Angelfall was, then I'd use the shit out of them. Susan Ee definitely knows how to right a YA book. And she knows how to pull a teen's heartstrings. I almost cried during this book, it took a lot of willpower. ;) But I'd totally give up my second baby for this!!!

I'd Sacrifice My 3rd Born For:

Expected Publication: September 4th 2012
Publisher: Splinter
Format: Hardcover, 464 pages
Pre-Order: Barnes and Noble | Amazon

With three of the goddess Durga's quests behind them, only one prophecy now stands in the way of Kelsey, Ren, and Kishan breaking the tiger's curse. But the trio's greatest challenge awaits them: A life-endangering pursuit in search of Durga's final gift, the Rope of Fire, on the Adaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal.

It's a race against time--and the evil sorcerer Lokesh--in this eagerly anticipated fourth volume of the bestselling Tiger's Curse series, which pits good against evil, tests the bonds of love and loyalty, and finally reveals the tiger's' true destiny once and for all.

Why I'd Do Such A Horrible Thing: (Check out the newly revealed cover!! Isn't it just awesome?! *hyperventilates*) I can't help but love the world Colleen Houck created with the tigers and Kelsey. It's simply written, but detailed at the same time. You get the point easily, and it's just so vivid in your head. I'd be a little hesitant at first, but willing after to give up any future child to have this ARC, or any ARC of Colleen's! :)

Well there you have my picks! What would yours be? ;D
